**This article relates to AirParrot 1. As of September 2016, support for AirParrot 1 has ended. We encourage you to upgrade to AirParrot 2 for the best compatibility with new devices.**
AirParrot is a menu bar application, which appears at the top right of the screen near your clock.
If you have a lot of menu bar applications open it is possible that it may have been hidden due to space. Try closing some of these applications or run an app such as "Finder" that uses less space for its menu and look for the AirParrot icon.
We've created a guide for setting up and using AirParrot for the first time. The guide includes photographs and step-by-step instructions. You can find the guide here: http://www.airsquirrels.com/airparrot/get-started/
Note: If you're using OS X Yosemite and have the setting for "Use dark menu bar and dock" in the System Preferences, the icon will still land in the menu bar, however it will not be visible since it is black.
