We haven't exposed a way in Reflector to do this. However, with a few quick commands in terminal, it can be done.

Reflector must be installed in your Applications folder for the following instructions to work properly. Using these commands will also remove the menu bar and any other interface elements from Reflector.

  1. Quit Reflector 2 completely
  2. Use Spotlight (CMD+Space) to locate Terminal
  3. Enter this command: defaults write /Applications/Reflector\ 2.app/Contents/Info.plist LSUIElement 1
  4. Open Reflector 2 — It should now be running without the dock icon present. You can verify this by finding the Reflector 2 process in Activity Monitor

If you have removed the dock icon and would like it to appear again, follow these steps:

  1. Quit Reflector 2 completely
  2. Use Spotlight (CMD+Space) to locate Terminal
  3. Enter this command: defaults write /Applications/Reflector\ 2.app/Contents/Info.plist LSUIElement 0
  4. Open Reflector 2 — It should now be running with a dock icon present
