How to create a desktop icon for Ditto Windows Receiver version 2.0

With the new AppInstaller and MSIX file type for Ditto Windows Receiver version 2.0, a desktop icon may not be created after the upgrade to version 2.0 depending on the file type used to upgrade your Ditto Windows Receiver from version 1.0 to 2.0. AppInstaller files do not automatically create shortcuts when installed on Windows 10/11 OS since the application is installed in the User Profile, not the Programs File folder. 

The steps below will allow you to pin the Application to the Taskbar on the PC desktop. 

Step 1: Select the Start button on the Windows PC desktop

Step 2: Select All Apps

Step 3: Scroll down to locate Ditto Receiver or search for it in the Search Bar at the top of the menu

Step 4: Right-click Ditto Receiver to open options to pin the application to the Start menu or the taskbar for easy access.

Pro Tip: You can also click and drag the Ditto Receiver icon from the All Apps menu directly to the desktop to create a desktop icon.
