You can create digital signage assets from a slideshow and upload them to Ditto. Before you begin, learn how to create and export slides for Ditto digital signage with these guides (free templates included):
Create Digital Signage Content with Microsoft PowerPoint
Create Digital Signage Content with Google Slides
Create Digital Signage Content with Apple Keynote
Once you’ve designed and exported your slides in your preferred slideshow application, follow these steps to integrate the new assets into your Ditto digital signage.
Note:
Before you begin uploading slides and other media, you must create a list for your digital signage. Learn how to create your first Ditto digital signage list here.
Supported file types and restrictions:
You may upload the following file types:
- PNG
- JPG
- GIF
- MP4
Uploaded files may not be larger than 300MB.
Step 1
In the Ditto Account Portal, navigate to the "Signage" tab.
Step 2
Select the list that you want to add your exported slides to.
Step 3
Click "New Item."
Step 4
Select “Media” from the available options.
Step 5
Add your exported slide. You can drag and drop the file into the box or browse your computer to select the file you want. Ensure your exported slide is in an acceptable file format.
Step 6
Click "Upload" and "Save Item."
The slide has been uploaded to your list.
Pro-Tip:
If your presentation is larger than 300MB when exported then we recommend dividing the presentation into multiple parts to upload separately. When the presentation is uploaded as multiple items in sequential order in a signage list the presentation will play in its entirety on the Ditto receiver(s).
Note:
- You must upload and save your media to render a preview in the layout editor.
- Click on your list to edit the schedule, duration, order, and content of your media.
- You can also use Ditto layouts for digital signage. A layout is a pre-designed template included with Ditto that lets you easily display beautiful signage content without the need for slideshow apps or a graphic designer. See how to use Ditto layouts here.
