Available Ditto customization options

Ditto offers several customization options that allow you to match the service to your organization's branding and configure how Ditto appears and works for end users.

Most organization-wide customization options are available from the Customization section of the Ditto Account Portal. This area is divided into Connect Page, Ditto Connect, Ditto Receiver, and Organization Settings.

Additional customization options are available for individual rooms and digital signage.

Connect Page customizations

Customize your Ditto Connect webpage to match your organization's branding and provide connection instructions or other information to users.

  • Connect Page URL — Your Ditto Connect page URL displays your organization's branding and messaging preferences.
  • Custom Domain — Specify a custom domain or subdomain to point or redirect users to your branded Ditto Connect page.
  • Logo — Upload your organization's logo. The recommended minimum logo width is 400px.
  • Background Image — Upload a custom background image. The recommended minimum width is 2400px with a 3 MB file size limit.
  • Custom Message — Add connection instructions, organizational information or other messaging for users.
  • Theme Colors — Customize the background and text colors to match your organization's branding.

Ditto Connect customizations (Mac/Windows)

Customize the Ditto Connect applications to match your organization's branding.

  • App Banner — Upload a banner that appears in the Ditto Connect applications for Windows and macOS. The recommended image size is 950px x 165px with a 3 MB file size limit.

Ditto receiver customizations (Android/tvOS/Windows)

Customize the Ditto receiver applications to match your organization's branding.

  • Logo — Upload your organization's logo. The recommended minimum logo width is 400px.
  • Background Image — Upload a custom receiver background image. The recommended minimum width is 2400px with a 3 MB file size limit.
  • Theme Colors — Customize the receiver background and text colors to match your organization's branding.

Organization Settings

Organization settings control certain Ditto behaviors across your organization. Some organization settings establish a default that can be overridden for individual rooms.

  • Enable Native Resolution — Enable supported Windows and Mac devices to send mirrored content at its native resolution to the receiver. When this setting is disabled, mirrored content is scaled down to a maximum of 1920x1080 before being sent. Changing this setting at the organization level updates the default for all Ditto rooms. The setting can be overridden for individual Ditto rooms. Full details on this option may be found here.
  • Always Show Date and Time on Signage — Display the date and time while digital signage is shown. You can also choose where the date and time appear on the Ditto-enabled display: Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Left, or Bottom Right. Changing this setting at the organization level updates the default for all Ditto rooms. The setting can be overridden for individual Ditto rooms.
  • Low-Profile Mode (Ditto Windows Receiver only) — Keep the Ditto room code visible in a small window when the Ditto receiver application is minimized. Select Launch to make Low-Profile Mode the default behavior. Launch overrides the Display Fullscreen option in the receiver settings.
  • Limit IP Access — Restrict access to the Ditto Account Portal to specified IP addresses to prevent users from logging in outside an approved network.

Room customizations

Some Ditto settings can be customized for individual Ditto rooms instead of across the entire organization.

To access these options, visit the Rooms section in the Ditto Account Portal and choose the room you want to customize.

  • Always Show Connection Info — Choose whether Ditto connection information remains visible on receivers assigned to the Ditto room. You can position the connection information in the Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Left, or Bottom Right of the display.
  • Native Resolution — Override the organization-wide Native Resolution setting for an individual Ditto room.
  • Always Show Date and Time on Signage — Override the organization-wide date and time setting for an individual Ditto room. You can also choose whether the date and time appear in the Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Left, or Bottom Right of the display.

Room-level settings make it possible to configure individual spaces differently without changing the default behavior for the rest of your organization.

Digital Signage customizations

Visit the Digital Signage section of the Ditto Account Portal.

  • Templates - Ditto templates are pre-designed, customizable digital signage assets. View templates inside the Ditto Account Portal.
  • Connection information - Ditto allows you to enable or disable screen mirroring, digital signage and alerts on receivers and customize the displayed information. Find these settings by clicking on a specific Room from within the Rooms section of your Ditto Account Portal. Scroll down to the 'Enable Mirroring' and 'Always Show Connection Info' toggles.  
  • Custom media - Upload media files as digital signage items.
